It is nearly time for the biggest competition in world football and fans from across the globe will be descending upon Russia for a month of football filled action. Football fans have been going crazy to get their hands on the much sought 2018 FIFA World Cup tickets with over four million tickets requested according to FIFA.
The second phase for buying World Cup tickets through the official FIFA platform has now closed. However, fans from all around the world can still apply for tickets exclusively at Football Ticket Pad to watch all of their favourite nations this summer.
According to FIFA, most of the applications have come from Russia, with fans from Germany, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Poland, Spain, Colombia, USA and Netherlands representing the top ten countries from abroad. Overall, international demand accounts for 45 per cent.
As it stands, England tickets have among lowest number of applicants for 2018 World Cup. After two sales phases, applications were made for a total of just 57,957 seats, which is less than one percent of the tournament's overall figure of 8.4 million.
There is only one more sale window before now and the opening match on 14th June which means many fans will be left scratching round for tickets and often left resorting to the secondary market for their desired match seats. Football Ticket Pad have numerous England tickets available already for their group stage matches against Tunisia, Panama and Belgium.
England - a nation which often has one of the largest followings at major tournaments are sure to be travelling in their numbers in Russia despite initial fears about hooliganism and heavy-handed policing following several flashpoints at Euro 2016.
Kevin Miles, Chief Executive of the Football Supporters' Federation, said: "I don't think anybody doubts the ability of the Russians to be welcoming hosts and efficiently organise a safe and professional tournament.”
More information about the tickets products, prices, sales phases, payment methods etc. is available at Football Ticket Pad FAQ’’s.
